Read a little of the original beside its English, phrase by phrase and word by word.
About these games
Games about translating. Every round comes from a real text in Hearth Library, with the library’s own checked translation.
All but Match the Phrase and What Does It Mean? are first drafts, and Reading Order is an untested experiment. Rounds come from every library source whose phrase links have been checked, now in Ancient Greek, Latin, Classical Chinese, Old English and early Middle English, Spanish, French, German and Russian; more join as the library grows. Writings by translators about their craft, from Cicero and Jerome to Dryden, will gather in the Word for Word collection in Hearth Library.
